Who is the Administrator?
The person who creates the BlocStac at https://my.blocstac.com/customer/signup is the first administrator. He can promote other users to administrators. Only administrators can add new users, inactivate users, change the general configuration of BlocStac and receive emails about their account status.
How can I remove a User?
The administrator can set a user inactive on the home of the user. Inactive users cannot access your BlocStac anymore and they are not counted for your price plan. Because inactive users might have edited some Blocs, you cannot remove them completely.
Can I switch the login from e.g. Google to Facebook?
Yes, you can. When you log in, click on "Forgot email or password" even if you have not used a password before. Then, enter your email address that you use in BlocStac and follow the instructions in the shortly received email.
When I save a Bloc, can I see the old one?
After you saved a Bloc, you can see the old version of the Bloc by clicking on "show older Blocs". The only exception is, when you keep on editing and saving the same Bloc - in this case, the old Bloc is only saved every 15 minutes. This prevents you from having hundreds of old Blocs with only minor changes.
Are there any keyboard shortcuts?
Depending on where you are, shortcuts bring you to slightly different places. To get you started, here are the most useful ones:
- ARROW UP, DOWN: navigate from Bloc to Bloc
- ARROW LEFT, RIGHT: choose a small Bloc at the bottom
- ENTER: Edit Bloc
- CTRL + s: Save edited Bloc
- ESC: Cancel editing a Bloc
- Start typing text and it gets filled into the search box. Then press enter to go to the search results.
- TAB: Brings you to the next button or text
- CTRL + drag Bloc: Copy a Bloc instead of moving
- Home: Brings you to the highest Bloc, also called Home Bloc. (only on Windows and Linux)
Are there any advanced search methods?
Yes. Let's walk through some examples:
- Wildcard *: You are not sure how to spell "Stockholm", or was it "Stockhalm"? Search for "Stockh*".
- AND: By default, searching for "cat dog" shows you all Blocs that contain the word "cat" AND "dog".
- OR: Searching for "cat OR dog" shows you all Blocs that contain either the word "cat" OR "dog" or both.
- Exclude word: Searching "cat -dog" shows all Blocs that contain the word "cat" but they do not contain the word "dog".
Which web browsers work?
We test BlocStac on Windows with Internet Explorer, Firefox and Chrome. On Mac OS X, we test Safari, Firefox and Chrome.
